ABOUT

The Brand

Jóia jewellery is made in London using the ancient method of lost wax carving.  Using traditional methods means a slower, more sustainable + ethical approach to jewellery that utilises recycled metals and lab-grown gemstones. Everything is made-to-order so each piece will always be unique.
The Making Process

[From Anna, pictured] I adopt a sculptural approach to design, drawing inspiration from the beauty of forms in our surroundings and the structures of the materials and tools I use.

Trained in London's renowned jewellery district, Hatton Garden, I approach each material with respect for its unique properties—some waxes are stretchy, while others are brittle and unmalleable. The interplay between these materials and my hands forms the basis of a movement-infused design process, challenging conventional approaches to Jewellery design. By rejecting rigidity, I aim to infuse a dynamic and fluid energy into my pieces, ushering in a contemporary perspective that celebrates the inherent qualities of the materials themselves.
